The Fellowship of the Ring of Fire

The Pacific Ring of Fire is an area where large numbers of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur in the basin of the Pacific Ocean. If you think of a few of the natural disasters in the past year, a few of them happened in this area: February 2011 Christchurch earthquake, 2010–2011 Queensland floods, 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. This is where we decided to go on vacation. And so the fellowship was formed.
